You’re a bit off on the comparison to the Kindle. There’s no way the iPad is as good as the Kindle. Reading on an LCD backlit screen is nowhere near as comfortable as reading eInk. The Kindle will also blow the iPad away on several other eReader points. Battery life for one, 10 hours vs. several weeks on the Kindle. Weight and comfort are also MAJOR factors. In fact any eInk reader will beat the iPad. But beside that the iPad is very cool.

@mcanovas actually u can write on the ipad with pages aplication wich is similar to word, it can not have the same function of a computer cause is not a computer! if it were a computer nobodys will buy a laptop or a desktop cause the ipad will be better, its just that if u can not pay a laptop u can buy an ipad

The iPad in my personal opinion is a waste of your money. It’s just a big iTouch, and nothing really innovative and difficult for Apple to create. People that buy the iPad are buying because it’s “cool” and because they are easily manipulated by Apple’s marketing. This device is a luxury, because you cannot do much with it. It would be a different story if it had the functions of a computer where you can run MS Office and take notes without Internet, handwrite, draw.
