  1. I have a iPod Touch is it worth geting one of these?

  2. Larry: i would have the need to turn on/off the ipad repeatedly, perhaps 5-10 times over the course of 30-60 minutes. my question would be: how quickly does the iPad start back up and connect to the website to allow interaction on that site after being turned off for say 10-15 minutes? Can you test that?

  3. for me is better the ipad

so when the ipad is switched to wifi you get it from your house or wherever but when its on 3g you get it from AT&T’s telecoms?

    LOL
KBPS is WRONG. Its Kbps. A capital B denote bytes, lower case is bits. A byte is 8 time larger then a bit. I am not sure what he said, but obviously the screen showed it all.

If he showed the battery life of the personal WiFi devices the answer would be clear.
Get a iPad with 3G. It will last much much longer. Battery life on these small personal WiFi is only about a hour and often much less then a hour.

Its even faster then that with a ethernet connection to the router.
It tops out at 50Mbps down and 20Mbps up.
WiFi bottlenecks FIOS to about 14Mbps.

Its too unreliable. On average I can get Slng to work for about 5 minutes before the connection crashes on built in 3G or personal WiFi device.

Besides OverDrive/MiFi gets really hot and the battery drains very fast (less then 40 minutes) with a constant download.

    Bandwidth

Web sites such as Youtube and applications such as CNN, Slingbox etc work best if it can obtain a reliable download speed of at least 500kbps and preferably over 1Mbps.

    Lag (latency)

Latency for Sprint, AT&T and Verizon are very bad.
Skype and interactive web pages require a fairly responsive Internet connections.

    Quality

Sprint and even Verizon has VERY unreliable and wildly varying 3G service.
As of 2010, no carrier is able to provide a quality 3G service.

    que es una overdrive??

  15. Nice review. Can you try Sling with your 3G connection? I would like to see how it runs over 3G.

  16. 13 down & 14 up? WOW that’s pretty good for home broadband.

  17. if you turn off the cellular data in settings, would the carrier name disappear? goes to just “iPad” like the wifi version? or something else? let me know! (please)

  18. what’s the intro song?

  19. chrischris292

    @Techdude201 haha yeaaaaaa

  20. ILUVGADGETS77
